Monument to the Battle of the Nations where French Leader Napopleon was defeated in 1813. If you climb to the top you are treated to a wonderful view of the city.
Last year Joy and I did some swapping. She remembered my love of covered bridges and sent me this beautiful card that showcases the Hammond Covered Bridge. Built in 1843 it spans the Otter Creek in Pittsford, Vermont. I love it!!
Dear Liz has sent me another RAS. She always manages to put a smile on my face. This is from Wightwick Manor, Wolverhampton and is "Pomona", tapestry watercolour design (1884) by Edward Burne-Jones.
Fabulous card from the fabulous Heather! Weddle Bridge, Goodpasture Bridge, Antelope Creek Bridge, Shimanek Bridge and Jordan Bridge are all represented here.
Our friends thoughtfully sent us this card from their vacation in China. It features the National Stadium, known as the Bird's Nest (can you see why?) and the National Aquatics Center or Water Cube.
Thanks for thinking of us you guys! We're glad you had a great time!
The fabulous Clark Inn Motel located in downtown Las Vegas. Check that swimming pool - 25 ft x 50 ft! 19 modern carpeted units with tiled shower or tubs. Steam heated in winter, air cooled in summer.
This is a postcard I've seen in other collections and was quite envious of. It's metal, it has a VW camper van on it and it advertises a great product! All that to say I was delirious with joy when I found it in my mailbox!
