Karin in the Netherlands send me this beautiful spring greeting card that she made herself. As a scrapbooker I know the amount of time, effort and love that goes into making cards and I appreciate her efforts.
Arlene was melting in a heatwave so she did what any of us would do... made a postcard and had a contest on Facebook! How cool is this handstamped cork postcard she sent me? The backside is equally cool because it is nicely decorated and includes a personalized postage stamp featuring a picture of her and her husband. Awesome! Thank you, Arlene!
What a darling card created by Vela! She has hand stamped and hand coloured the front and on the backside there is a recipe for Salted Caramel Coffee. Yum! I love it, Vela. Thank you!
Angie, who sent me the Penny Post Office also sent me this Longworth, BC postcard. Both made from photos she took. She writes it is the tiniest post office she has ever seen and is only open for 2 hours, 3 days per week. Thanks for the two charming cards Angie!
The community of Penny is located in central British
Columbia. Penny Post Office opened 1 February 1916 with Nels Pederson as
postmaster. Penny was the last community in Canada
that still relied on the railroad for postal service. Unforutnately, the Penny Post Office was closed by
Canada post on Dec. 30, 2013.
Winkey offered this up on Facebook so we arranged a trade. She sent me this amazing card she made with used stamps. It is so much fun! I believe I sent her some boring old Ottawa card in exchange. I really feel I got the better end of this trade. Thank you Winkey!
If this isn't the cutest little Postcrossing card ever I don't know what is! This is sort of what my mailbox looked like today actually. Bursting with postcards. :) For some reason no one got mail delivery on my street on Friday so today my box was bursting! Thanks Yu Jia!
This is a scene from a mini-golf course in Abbotsford BC... isn't it gorgeous!? Thanks Carmen, I love receiving postcards that people make from their own photos!
