RAS - Pulp Mill Covered Bridge

This is such a beautiful postcard!  I love everything about it. The bridge itself is stunning. It is the Pulp Mill covered bridge in Middlebury-Weybridge, Vermont. Built 1808-1820 this bridge spans the Otter Creek and is believed to be Vermont's oldest covered bridge still in use and the only double lane bridge still in use in the state.

RAS - West Arlington Covered Bridge

Located in West Arlington, Vermont.  A Town lattice bridge built in 1852, its 80 ft span crosses the Battenkill River.  The former home of artist Norman Rockwell is also seen in this view.

RAS - Greenbanks Hollow Bridge

Another beautiful covered bridge from Joy!  This 1886 Queen post bridge crosses Joe's Brook in Danville. I'm in love!!

RAS - Hammond Covered Bridge

Last year Joy and I did some swapping.  She remembered my love of covered bridges and sent me this beautiful card that showcases the Hammond Covered Bridge. Built in 1843 it spans the Otter Creek in Pittsford, Vermont. I love it!!

RAS - Pomona Tapestry

Dear Liz has sent me another RAS.  She always manages to put a smile on my face.  This is from Wightwick Manor, Wolverhampton and is "Pomona", tapestry watercolour design (1884) by Edward Burne-Jones.

RAS - China Bird's Nest

Our friends thoughtfully sent us this card from their vacation in China.  It features the National Stadium, known as the Bird's Nest (can you see why?) and the National Aquatics Center or Water Cube.

The beautiful Waikiki Surf Hotels now consist of three wings.  All three wings have a choice of hotel rooms, apartments or family units. Swimming pools, restaurants and cocktail lounges nearby.
