Swap - Surabaya Heroes Monument
Perhaps it's a sign you spend too much time and money at http://chrisgreen.ca/ when the store manager sends you a postcard from his vacation. It makes more sense when I tell you he's a Postcrosser too. Don't worry, I sent him one from my vacation too!

The 200 foot tower and Sombrero Observation Deck framed with crepe myrtle blooms. If I were to see one thing in South Carolina I'd want it to be this!!!

Swap - the Elusive Ogopogo
Also known as "Devil of the Lake" sightings of the beast known as Ogopogo are a long standing tradition in BC. It is believed the enigma resides in a ave off Squally Point on Okanagan Lake. Whether fact or fiction, imagination or Sea Monster, the legend attracts the interest of all. Stark evidence of it's existence is just as elusive as the monster itself.

June 2015 NA RR - Sterling Alaska Fur & Game Farms
"Nothing like them elsewhere!" boasts the back of this postcard. Located in Lake Placid, home of Nick's animals. "See 1000 fur and game ALIVE and tame." It's the "alive part" that gets me... as opposed to... the alternative? Thanks, Jason - this card is awesome!

Swap - Winchester Mystery House
Located in San Jose, California the Winchester Mystery House is a beautiful but bizarre 160 room mansion. Home of a former gun magnate's widow it is said to be haunted by the ghosts of those killed by the gun maker's rifles and the widow herself.

Swap - The Big Chicken!
Here it is... the very first postcard I fell in love with upon joining Postcrossing. Now it is mine! This is the "Big Chicken" located in Marietta, Georgia with beak and eyes that actually move. Denise writes that she wishes she had a dollar for every time she has been told to "turn right at the big chicken". Thanks so much for this fantastic postcard Denise!

Awesome card from Robin!
The giant coffee pot is located at the northern entrance to the Old Salem NC historic district and is the city's best known landmark. The coffee pot was built in 1858 to advertise the business of Samuel and Julius Mickey.

Swap - Long Island, the Big Duck
Larger than life. The Big Duck was built in 1930-1931 and was originally used as a retail outlet selling Long Island Duckling. Every December the Big Duck gets decorated for the holidays.
Barbara tells me the Big Duck has been moved around over the years but it still serves as a little shop to buy duck related items.
Great card! Thank you Barbara!

February 2015 NA RR - The Smiling Peanut
The Smiling Peanut and his striking resemblance to Jimmy Carter stands 13 feet tall and is a very popular roadside attraction in Georgia. He is in need of some repair these days after greeting tourists for nearly 40 years. Thank you Olga!
