Swap - Coral Court Motel

Coral Court Motel, located in Marlborough, Missouri.  This is another card from the postcard book "Return to Route 66".  Widely recognized as an outstanding example of Streamline Moderne architecture and built in 1942 it offered private entry from built-in garages and rented rooms by the hour.  ("No-tell Motel")

Sadly it was demolished to make room for a housing development in the mid 90s.

Swap - Blue Swallow Motel

From "Return to Route 66" postcard book this is the Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico. It was built in 1940. Lillian Redman was given the motel as an engagement present in 1958 and  owned it for the next 40 years. It is listed on National Register of Historic Places.

Love this spectacular view from Diana.  A crystal clearn, unnamed lake reflects some of the grandeur that is Idaho's Sawtooth Mountain Range.

Germany - Bremerhaven Multiview

This lovely official Postcrossing card comes to me from Denise who lives in Bonn.  She chose this card for me because of Elvis Presley's connection to the city.  Bremerhaven was part of the American occupation zone in WWII and is where the American army personnel, including Elvis would land there for service.  Great card and great history!  Thank you!

"They do beautiful things for your body" is the tag line for this Kayser ad for their  line of glamorous loungewear.  Polyester crepe, frilly midi tops and a ruffled cat suit - oh my!
